Ingredients
Fenugreek Seeds – ½ Tbsp
Mustard Seeds – ½ Tbsp
Grated Dry Coconut – 2 Tbsp
Sesame Seeds – 3 Tbsp
Red Chilli Powder – ¼ Tbsp
Lemon Juice – 1 Tbsp
White Rice – 1 Cup
Salt to Taste
For Tempering
Oil – 5 Tbsp
Ghee – ½ Tbsp
Mustard Seeds – ¼ Tbsp
Chana dal- 1 Tbsp
Ground Nuts – ½ Cup
Curry Leaves – 15
Red Chilli – 4
Method
- Heat a pan. Dry fry Fenugreek Seeds until it turns light brown. Take out on to a plate.
- Dry fry Mustard Seeds and Sesame Seeds one after other in the same pan and keep it aside.
- Add Fenugreek Seeds and mustard Seeds to a blender and blend it to a smooth powder. Take it out on to a plate.
- Add Sesame Seeds and Grated Coconut to a blender and just whip it twice. Keep it aside.
- Heat oil in a pan. Add Ground nuts and fry until it turns golden brown. Take out and keep it aside.
- Add Mustard Seeds to the same pan let it crackle then add Chana dal fry until it turns light brown.
- Add Curry Leaves, Red Chilli. Fry about 1 minute.
- Add Blended Powders, Red Chilli Powder and Ghee Cook about 2 minutes. Take out from the gas and let it cool down.
- Add Lemon Juice, fried Ground nuts and salt.
- Add rice to a Bowl mix it with Prepared Gojju. Add salt if needed.
Healthy Menthya Rice is Ready to Serve.
