Ingredients
Tomato – 2
Water – 2 Cups
Onion – ½ Finely Chopped
Red Chilli – 3
Crushed Garlic – 4
Curry Leaves – 5
Jeera Powder – 2 tbsp
Black Pepper Powder – 1 tbsp
Red Chilli Powder – ¼ tbsp
Tamarind – 1 Inch
Coriander Leaves – ¼ cup
Mustard Seeds – ½ tbsp
Oil – 1 tbsp
Ghee – ½ tbsp
Salt to Taste
Method
- Add Tomatoes, Tamarind and Water to a vessel. Boil about 10 minutes. Let it Cool down. Mash tomatoes and Tamarind well. Strain the pulp out of it. Keep it Aside.
- Heat Oil in a Pan. Add Mustard Seeds wait until it Crackle.
- Add Red Chilli and Curry leaves fry about a minute then add Onion fry until it turns light brown.
- Add Jeera Powder, Black Pepper Powder fry about a minute.
- Add Tomato Tamarind Pulp. Cook about 2 minutes. Add Chilli Powder and Salt Cook about 1 minute.
- Garnish with Coriander Leaves. Add Salt if needed.
Hot Tomato Rasam is Ready to Serve with Rice.
