Aloo Chops ( Potato Chops )


Preparation time : 10 Minutes | Cook time: 20 Minutes


Potato – 3

Onion – 1

Tomato – 1

Green Chilli – 1

Ginger – 1 inch

Garlic – 4

Grated Coconut – 4 tbsp

Red Chilli Powder – ¼ tbsp

Black Pepper – 5

Coriander Powder – 1 tbsp

Coriander Leaves – ½ Cup

Cinnamon Powder – Pinch

Clove Powder – Pinch

Turmeric – ¼ tbsp

Oil – 4 tbsp

Mustard Seeds – 1 tbsp


Salt to taste


  • Heat 1 tbsp. Oil in a pan. Add Onion, Green Chilli, Ginger, Garlic fry about a minute.
  • Then add black pepper, Grated Coconut, Coriander Leaves, Cinnamon Powder, Clove Powder fry about 2 minutes.
  • Add Coriander Powder and Red Chilli Powder mix well. Keep it aside.
  • Once it Cools down add it to a blender and blend to a nice paste.
  • Heat 3 tbsp. of oil in a pan. Add Mustard Seeds wait until it crackle.
  • Add Medium Chopped Potatoes, Turmeric fry about 2 minutes.
  • Add Blended paste, Salt. Mix well with potatoes. Add enough water to get gravy Consistency. Cook until potatoes become soft.
  • Add Salt if needed.

Hot Aloo chops is Ready to Serve.
