Balekayi Fry ( Raw Banana Fry )


Preparation time: 5 Minutes | Cook time: 10 Minutes


Raw Banana – 1

Onion – 1

Tomato – ½

Coriander Leaves – ¼ Cup

Coriander Powder – ½ tbsp.

Red Chilli Powder – ½ tbsp.

Oil – 3 tbsp


Mustard Seeds – 1 tbsp

Curry Leaves – 5

Salt to taste


  • Heat Oil in a pan. Add Mustard Seeds wait until it crackle.
  • Add Chopped Onion, Curry Leaves. Fry until it turns light brown.
  • Add Chopped Tomato Cook about 2 Minutes.
  • Add Chopped Raw banana. Sprinkle little water and cook until it is soft.
  • Add Coriander Powder, Red Chilli Powder. Cook about 1 Minute. Add salt if needed.
  • Garnish with Coriander Leaves.

Tasty Balekayi Fry is Ready to Serve.
