Sooji Payasa ( Rave Payasa )


Preparation time: 20 Minutes | Cook time: 10 Minutes


Fine Sooji – 1 Cup

Grated Coconut – 1 Cup

Poppy Seeds – 4 tbsp.

Cardamom Powder – ¼ tbsp.

Sugar – ¾ Cup

Water – 2 glass

Cashew – 5

Raisins – 10


  • Dry fry Sooji in a pan until its Golden brown. Keep it aside.
  • Add Poppy Seeds, Grated Coconut to a blender. Blend it to a nice paste by adding enough water.
  • Heat Ghee in a pan. Add Chopped Cashew fry until its light brown then add Raisin fry until it puffs up. Take out onto a plate and Keep it aside.
  • Add sugar, water to a vessel let it boil. Add sooji and cook about 1 minute.
  • Add Blended paste and keep on stirring for about 2 minutes. Add water if its thick. Make it to a flowing consistency.
  • Add dry fruits and Cardamom powder mix well.

Hot Yummy Sooji Payasa is Ready to Serve.
