Ingredients
Potato – 1
Gobi florets ( Cauliflower florets ) – 2 cups
Peas – 1 cup
Onion – ½
Turmeric powder – ½ tbsp
Cinnamon powder – Pinch
Clove powder – Pinch
Ginger – ½ inch
Garlic – 2
Red chilli powder – 1 tbsp
Oil – 5 tbsp
Mustard seeds – 1 tbsp
Coriander leaves – ½ cup
Water – ¾ cup
Salt to taste
Method
- Chop gobi into small florets and wash it twice in the water.
- Keep water for boiling by adding ½ tbsp. of salt. Add chopped gobi florets to it. Let it boil for about 5 minutes. Drain gobi and keep it aside.
- Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a pan. Add drained gobi, ¼ spoon turmeric powder and fry about 3 minutes. Take out on to a plate.
- Add onion, cinnamon powder, clove powder, ginger, garlic to a blender and blend it to a nice paste.
- Heat 4 tbsp of oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds wait until it crackles.
- Add medium size chopped potato, turmeric powder and fry about 1 minute.
- Add fried gobi, peas and fry about 1 minute. Add finely chopped tomato, red chilli powder and cook about 2 minutes.
- Add blended paste, salt to it and cook about 1 minute. Add water and close the lid. Cook until veggies become soft. Add salt if needed.
- Garnish with coriander leaves.
Hot Aloo gobi sabzi is ready to serve with chapati.
