Ingredients
Basmati rice – 1 glass
Water – 1 and ½ glass
Jeera – 1 tbsp
Red chilli – 2
Bay leaf – 1
Ghee – 2 tbsp
Salt to taste
Method
- Wash rice twice and soak it in water for 15 minutes. Drain and Keep it aside.
- Heat a Pressure cooker. Add Ghee, bay leaf saute for 2 seconds.
- Add jeera, Red chilli and wait until jeera get crackles.
- Add Rice, water and salt. Pressure cook for 2 whistles. Take out to a serving bowl.
Hot Jeera rice is ready to serve with plain yellow dal or with Palak dal ( Spinach dal )
