Ingredients
Idly rice – 2 cups
Urad dal – ½ cup
Chana dal – 2 tbsp
Fenugreek seeds- ¼ tbsp
Poha – ¼ cup
Salt – ½ tbsp.
Baking soda – ¼ tbsp

Method
Batter Preparation
- Wash urad dal, chana dal and fenugreek seeds twice and with enough water soak together for about 5 hours.
- Wash Idly rice twice and soak separately with enough water for about 5 hours.
- Before one hour of blending. Wash poha and soak it separately with enough water.
- Drain and add urad dal, chana dal and fenugreek seeds to a blender with little water. Blend it to a nice paste. Take out to a large cooking vessel.
- Drain and add idly rice to a blender with little water and blend it to a thick paste. Mix it with urad dal batter.
- Add poha and blend it to a nice paste. Add it to urad dal and rice batter. Mix well.
- Add salt, baking soda to the batter and mix well. Add enough water to make medium consistency batter.
- Keep it in a warm place and let it get ferment overnight.
- Morning we can use this batter to prepare dosa.
Dosa Preparation
- Heat tawa on medium flame. Pour a ladle full of batter on it and spread evenly in circular shape. Add oil or ghee on the edges.
- Flip and cook both the sides until it is golden brown. Take out on to a plate.
Hot Dosa is ready to serve with Vegetable Sagu or Coconut chutney
