Tomato Aloo Sabzi


Preparation time: 10 Minutes | Cook time: 20 Minutes


Tomato – 2

Potato – 1

Onion – 1

Sambar powder – 1 tbsp

Coriander powder – ½ tbsp

Oil – 2 tbsp

Mustard seeds – 1 tbsp

Curry leaves – 5

Water – 1 cup

Salt to taste


  • Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds wait until it crackles.
  • Add chopped potato, onion. Fry about 1 minute.
  • Add water and close the lid. Cook until potato, onion become 50% soft.
  • Add Finely chopped tomatoes, sambar powder, coriander powder and salt. Cook until tomatoes become soft. About 4 to 5 minutes. Add salt if needed. Takeout to a bowl.

Hot Tomato Aloo Sabzi is ready to serve with Chapati.
