Vegetable Momos


Preparation time: 1 Hour 15 Minutes | Cook time: 20 Minutes


For Dough

Maida (All purpose flour) – 1 cup

Oil – 1 tbsp

Salt – ½ tbsp.

Water – ½ cup

For Stuffing

Cabbage – 2 cups Finely chopped

Onion – 1 Finely chopped

Grated carrot – ½ cup

Capsicum – ½ cup

Black pepper powder – 1 tbsp

Soya sauce – 1 tbsp

Oil – 2 tbsp

Salt to taste



  • Add Maida, salt, oil to a bowl and mix well. With enough water make a soft dough. Let it rest for 20 minutes. Keep it aside.
  • Stuffing: Heat oil in a pan. Add onion and fry until it turns light brown. Add capsicum, carrot and cabbage cook about 2 minutes. Add Black pepper powder, soya sauce, salt and cook about 1 minute. Takeout to a bowl. Keep it aside.
  • Takeout little portion of dough. Make small sized balls and roll it to small circle. Keep edges thin. Place 2 tbsp. of cabbage stuffing on it and pleat them to close from all the sides. Momos shape can be of your choice.
  • Place momos in a steamer. Steam about 10 to 15 minutes. Takeout on to a plate.

Hot Vegetable Momos is ready to serve with Momos chutney
