Green Peas Palya


Preparation time: 10 Minutes | Cook time: 15 minutes


Green Peas – 1 cup

Onion – ½ Finely chopped

Ginger garlic paste – ½ tbsp.

Tomato – ½ Finely chopped

Cinnamon powder – Pinch

Clove Powder – Pinch

Red chilli powder – 1 tbsp

Jeera powder – 1 tbsp

Coriander Leaves – ¼ cup

Oil – 3 tbsp

Jeera – ½ tbsp

Water – ½ cup

Salt to taste


  • Heat oil in a pan. Add jeera, wait until it crackles.
  • Add onion, ginger garlic paste, cinnamon powder, clove powder and fry until onion turns light brown.
  • Add tomato, red chilli powder, jeera powder and cook about 2 minutes.
  • Add peas, salt and water as required. Cook about 5 minutes.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves.

Hot Green Peas palya is ready to serve with Chapati.
