Rava Dosa


Preparation time: 25 Minutes | Cook time: 15 minutes


Fine Sooji – 1 cup

Rice flour – 1 cup

Maida (All purpose flour) – 1 cup

Wheat flour – ¼ cup

Jeera – 1 tbsp


Salt to taste


  • Add sooji, rice flour, maida, wheat flour, jeera and salt to a bowl. Mix well. Add enough water to make a thin and running consistency batter. Let it rests for about 20 minutes.
  • Heat tawa on Medium flame. Make sure tawa is hot by sprinkling few drops of water on it. This should evaporate immediately.
  • Pour batter on it from edges to center in circular shape. Add oil or ghee on top and to the edges.
  • Flip and cook both the sides until it is golden brown. Takeout on to a plate.

Serve hot Rava Dosa with Coconut Chutney.
