Ingredients
Gobi florets – 2 cup
Onion – 1 finely chopped
Tomato – 1 finely chopped
Ginger garlic paste – 1 tbsp
Turmeric powder – ½ tbsp
Red chilli powder – 1 tbsp
Jeera powder – 1 tbsp
Garam masala powder – ½ tbsp
Coriander leaves – ½ cup
Oil – 2 tbsp
Mustard seeds – 1 tbsp
Salt to taste
Method
- Chop gobi into small florets and wash it twice in water.
- Keep water for boiling by adding ½ tbsp. of salt. Add chopped gobi florets to it. Let it boil for about 5 minutes. Drain gobi and keep it aside.
- Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a pan. Add drained gobi, ¼ spoon of turmeric powder and fry about 3 minutes. Take out on to a plate.
- Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds wait until it crackles.
- Add ginger garlic paste, onion. Fry until it turns light brown.
- Add tomato, salt, ¼ spoon of turmeric powder, red chilli powder, garam masala powder and jeera powder. Mix well. Cook until tomatoes become soft.
- Add gobi florets. Mix well. Cook until gobi become soft for about 2 minutes.
- Garnish with coriander leaves.
Hot gobi palya is ready to serve with chapati.
